Janet Moore

Janet Moore grew up on a small farm in rural Illinois. While attending Illinois State University, she worked with the ISU Planetarium, implementing slide shows, presenting sky lectures, and developing workshops and curricula that aligned with state and national learning standards. Upon graduating with a degree in Mathematics, Moore taught AP Calculus, Pre-Calculus, and Algebra at Bureau Valley High School. From 2003 to 2008, she worked as Lead Flight Director for the Challenger Learning Center at Prairie Aviation Museum in Bloomington, Illinois. Since August 2008, Moore has taught Developmental Mathematics at Illinois State University.

In her spare time, Moore enjoys running marathons, backyard astronomy, and spending time with her husband, Pete, and daughters, Ruby and Charlotte.
